After an unscheduled 5 month break there is now a calendar of events for the next few months. Universal have utilised this time and have been hard at work with plenty of Thoroughbred Pre Trainers and young show horses a long with the seasoned team to keep in tip top shape and on the ready for the next opportunity.

Their first show off the mark was the EQ Showhorse Top of the Range Show held at the Toowoomba Showgrounds on 12th July.

With a mixed team of Hunters and Opens from ponies to hacks (many attending their very first show) it was a busy day. With the weather settling in for some solid rain the show was moved to the indoors. The team were successful with some great results (The conditions made it very challenging for photos so not too many)

Some of the the highlights included Cassie Schmidt’s Newcomer Thoroughbred ‘Rivalry’ by Pierro. A stunning 5yo Small Hack stepping into the ring for the 1st time with Adam in the saddle and awarded Champion Newcomer Hack.

Leigh Sears flash moving Galloway ‘Astoria Katkin’ ridden by Phil scooped the pool with Supreme Open and Winner of the Open Jackpot.

Samantha Watts small Hunter Hack ‘GHP Extatic’ ridden by Adam put on a great show bringing home Supreme Hunter of the show and winners of the Hunter Jackpot.

The team is looking forward to getting back to what we love to do.
